Signs of Colon Cancer

Signs of Colon Cancer

Colon cancer (also called colorectal cancer) can develop silently, especially in the early stages, so knowing the warning signs is crucial. Here are the main signs and symptoms to watch for:

1. Changes in Bowel Habits
Diarrhea, constipation, or a change in stool consistency lasting more than a few days.
Narrow or ribbon-like stools.
Feeling that your bowel doesn’t empty completely.
2. Blood in the Stool
Bright red or very dark/black stools.
Occult (hidden) blood may only be detected by a test.
Could also appear as streaks on the toilet paper.
3. Abdominal Discomfort
Persistent cramps, gas, or pain.
Bloating or feeling full even without eating much.
Unexplained weight loss or loss of appetite.
